Information regarding the Speaking Test
Your Speaking Test is approximately 11-14
minutes in duration and is held on a weekday usually
before the Listening/Reading/Writing Test. If your
application is successful, test confirmation details will be
forwarded to you via email and SMS 5-7 days prior to your Speaking
Test.
Please note that we are not able to provide a
personal preference for Speaking Test dates and times.
To ensure we can conduct tests on time for all
candidates, please make sure you arrive at your Speaking Test no
later than 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time.
Location of the Listening/Reading/Writing
Test
The location for this part of the test is
released once all applications have been processed. We will notify
you of the test location by email, but can confirm that we
normally conduct our tests in the Central Business
District.
Please note that, on test day:
- Personal belongings other than stationery will not be permitted
into the exam room
Passports are mandatory*
*You must bring your passport with you
for both the Speaking and Listening/Reading/Writing parts of the
test. If you do not bring your passport, you cannot sit the
test.
Your passport must be valid at the time you
take the test. Certified copies of passports or letters regarding
passports are not accepted for identity checks, neither is a
driver's licence, national identification card, marriage
certificate, birth certificate, student card or any other form of
identification.
Confirmation Email
Successful applicants will be notified by
email of the location of the tests at least a week before the
written exam.
Please note that:
- Your confirmation email will include the date and time and
location of your Speaking Test.
- Directions to the Speaking and Listening/Reading/Writing Tests
will also be included in the confirmation email.
- If you do not receive a confirmation email 5 days before
speaking tests and have been charged for the test please contact us
on 1800 664 700 immediately.
Important Information about the Confirmation
Email:
In order for you to receive your confirmation email containing
all your important test day information, please ensure that
you check your Spamguard settings to allow messages from @idp.com
to be delivered to you. Confirmation emails can sometimes be
directed to junk/spam inboxes if your settings are not
adjusted.
